Founder & Designer, Drea Custom Designs
It started with a needle, thread, and a lot of fabric.
I picked up my first sewing needle at 12 years old, and I haven’t really put it down since. What started as a deep love for fabric, texture, and the art of making something from nothing quickly became a part of who I am. For years, I channeled that passion into clothing, learning how different materials move, drape, and behave, and developing an eye for design that no classroom could have taught me.
In 2004, I was introduced to the world of drapery, and everything clicked. The same principles I’d spent years mastering in fashion translated beautifully into window treatments: the way fabric falls, the way it filters light, the way the right choice can completely transform a room. I fell in love with it immediately. By 2005, Drea Custom Designs was born.
I believe window treatments should do two things well: complement the style of a room and serve the way you actually live in it. Beauty and function, together. That’s been my standard from day one, and it hasn’t changed in twenty years.

A more personal approach, from the start.
One of the things I hear most often from new clients is how different the experience feels. Many expect a more traditional process, but instead, I’m the one who shows up at the door.
That direct connection is something I value deeply. When you work with Drea Custom Designs, you work with me from beginning to end, with every detail handled personally and thoughtfully.
There is no team behind the curtain. No junior designer handling your project while I’m somewhere else. When you work with Drea Custom Designs, you work directly with me, from the first conversation to the final installation. Every decision, every detail, every recommendation comes from twenty years of hands-on experience.
I design for your home, not my own.
My personal taste isn’t what matters in your home, yours is. What I bring to each project is experience, perspective, and the ability to listen closely to what you want your space to feel like.
Many clients know they want something beautiful, but aren’t quite sure how to get there. That’s where I come in. I can look at a space and see how everything will come together, how it will hang, how it will layer, and how it will feel throughout the day as the light changes.
That ability to translate an idea into something real is what allows me to guide each project with confidence and care. You don’t need to have all the answers, that’s what I’m here for.

A Few More Things Worth Knowing
Nothing I make is off the shelf.
Every window treatment, pillow, and hardware selection is made specifically for your home, using premium materials sourced with your space in mind. What you receive is something you genuinely can’t find anywhere else, because it was designed for you, and only you.
My work has reached clients across three countries.
While I’m proudly rooted in New Orleans, Drea Custom Designs has shipped custom work to clients across the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom. That reach speaks for itself, it’s what happens when people love what they receive enough to tell everyone they know.
What You Can Expect
Every project begins with an in-home consultation, where I can see your space, understand how you live in it, and help you make decisions that feel right.
From there, everything is designed, measured, and finished with intention, so that what we create doesn’t just look beautiful, but truly belongs in your home.
Let’s Talk About Your Home
If you’re ready to transform your space, or even just starting to think about it, I’d love to hear from you. I offer complimentary in-home consultations for clients in the New Orleans area, and I take on a select number of projects at a time to make sure every client gets my full attention.
